Welcome to Locality Travel USA – a state-by-state guide to travelling in the United States. We cover all 50 states with practical guides on where to go, when to go, what things cost and how to plan, so that visitors from the U.S. and abroad can build a trip with confidence.
What we publish
- State travel guides – highlights, best seasons, regions and attractions for each state.
- In-depth topic guides – wineries, beaches, hiking, day trips, budgets, safety, packing and etiquette such as tipping.
- Planning tools – our free Trip Picker matches your interests and travel season to states worth visiting.
Right now our deepest coverage is California, with guides on wine country, theme parks, surfing, skiing, stargazing, budgets and day trips. We are expanding the same level of detail to more states.
How we work
We research from official tourism boards, visitor bureaus, park services and other primary sources, and we write for people who are actually planning a trip: concrete places, seasons, rough costs and honest trade-offs. Our editorial policy explains how we source, update and correct information, and how advertising and affiliate relationships are kept separate from our recommendations.
How the site is funded
